At Steve Smiths as well as providing great facilities for existing clay shooters in the Newcastle area we also cater for novice shooters looking to take up the sport as well as groups just looking for a clay shooting experience. Shooting Tuition (1-3 People)
Are you a complete novice, a game shooter who needs a refresh before the season or simply an existing shooter who needs some pointers our team of instructors will look after you. Suitable for either 1-to-1 or small group (up to 3). For larger groups please see our Shooting Experience section below.
- All equipment provided (Gun hire, PPE)
- 25 clays and cartridges
- Guidance on safe gun handling
- Eye dominace check
- No time limit (Typically 45mins – 1 hour for individuals)
Prices start at £65 pp with the option to shoot extra at £1 per shot
Shooting Experience (4+ People)
Our shooting experiences are geared more towards people who are simply looking for an interesting day out with friends or family and groups of 4 or more. You will still be learning how to shoot but with more emphasis on having fun than all the theory of clay shooting. Be this a family day out, works do, stag / hen parties etc.

- 25 clays and cartridges
- Safe gun handling and an introduction to clay shooting theory
Prices start at £55 pp (min 4 people) with the option to shoot extra at £1 per shot.
