Here at Steve Smiths we offer a range of different shooting disciplines which are detailed below and are available for practice every day we are open. Making use of Promatic clay traps coupled with their Claymate system we can accommodate shooting in groups or as a solo shooter with the use of voice activation or time delayed release depending on the discipline. So be it shooting with friends or some quiet practice on your own we will look after you.
In preperation for being able to run CPSA registered competitions in the near future our FITASC, Top Sporting and Fausti layouts are also set up for SportTrap.

Olympic Trap / FITASC / Skeet
We are proud to offer the only Olympic Trap layout in the area using state of the art promatic traps and an acoustic release system. This layout also hosts our second skeet range and our FITASC sporting.
DTL & Skeet
Using Promatic traps our English Skeet and DTL disciplines share the same layout. Skeet can be operated with a timed solo delay and the DTL as well as being under cover makes use of an acoustic release system for the best possible targets.
Sporting
We currently have 5 sporting layouts on the ground
Pond
Our first sporting layout is situated around our pond and features a total of 8 different targets and a number of shooting positions and features 3 different towers. By shooting from a different cage you will completely change the targets that you see.
Driven
Our driven stand has another 8 sporting targets that, as the name suggests, are focused more towards driven and feature heavily from our main high tower
Fausti
Our Fausti stand, named due to the Fausti banner on the back, is a completely covered stand featuring 5 shooting positions and another 8 targets some of which will be presented from our main high tower.
Top Sporting
Our original sporting layout is located under cover on what was previously our second Olympic Trap layout and has a number of shooting positions and 8 targets
FITASC
Our last sporting layout shares its location with Olympic Trap and Skeet and features 8 FITASC style targets
Tuition Stand
Our tuition stand features some very novice friendly targets which makes it ideal for those wishing to check gun fit or introduce someone to the sport. This layout is available to use whenever we don’t have any lessons booked in
