Steve Smith's was first established in 1964 at it's present location just outside Dinnington, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Since this time there have been many improvements to our ground, the last being the completion of a superb clubhouse seen at left finished in 2002.
The ground is affiliated to the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association one of the main governing body's of the sport and has been classified as a 'PREMIER' ground, only 1 of 2 in Northumberland.
We are involved in Clay Target Shooting at all levels, whether it is new starters, competitions, corporate days, club shoots or the individual experienced shooter wishing to get in some practice, we can and do cater for everyone.
All Clay Target disiplines are available, Sporting, DTL, Ball Trap Trench and of course Skeet.
New starters if required can be taught on a one to one basis by coach and ex-England International Shooter Jack Reed, they do not need to feel under any form of pressure as the atmosphere at our ground is relaxed and all are willing to assist and help the novice.

Our gunshop can supply most of what you require, new also good quality used guns, accessories, clothing and of course cartridges, however should a particular article not be immediately available this of course can be ordered.

The ground is closed on Monday and Thursday, however we are open other days of the week from 1000 hrs. and closing around 1800hrs with Wednesday normally a late night during the summer months.
Club and Corporate parties can be catered for by arrangement.
Should you wish to visit us our CONTACT page gives full details including directions to the ground.
Worthy of note here for the new starter, regretfully the infamous British weather may try to 'dampen' the spirit and we therefore suggest you bring warm showerproof clothing, 'sensible' footwear or 'wellies'.
